Diana Honig, JD, is a dedicated advocate, disability rights attorney and community leader running for Contra Costa Community College District Board in Ward 2.

Endorsed by the United Faculty Association of Contra Costa, College Board President Rebecca Barrett and State Treasurer Fiona Ma, she’s a dynamic and experienced leader with a passion for quality education and breaking down barriers to success for all students.

“My name is Diana Honig, JD, and I’m a disability rights attorney, nonprofit leader, local government advocate and mother of two graduating seniors, running for Contra Costa Community College District in Ward 2.

My commitment to public education runs deep. As a graduate of UCLA and UC Davis, and the daughter of public college grads and educators, I learned early on the transformative power of accessible, quality education.

This passion was further strengthened by my family's lifelong connection to Diablo Valley College (DVC), where my father-in-law served as Dean of Students for over 25 years. My experience with learning disabilities during law school ignited a personal commitment to ensuring that education is truly accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or challenges.

Throughout my career as an attorney and community leader, I've fought to remove barriers and create opportunities for all. That’s why I have served as Co-Chair of the Multifaith ACTION Coalition Health Care Task Force, as a member of Contra Costa County’s Measure X Community Advisory Board, and as a legislative advocate with Moms Demand Action.

I believe our community colleges play a crucial role in shaping the future of Contra Costa County and the lives of its residents. If I can earn your vote, I will put my all into breaking down barriers to student success and building strong career pathways for our students.

Will you stand with me?”
